Quest for the Crown 3

Today marks the beginning of The Hockey Guild’s third-annual Quest for the Crown charity hockey festival, which raises funds and awareness for the National Hockey League’s Hockey Fights Cancer foundation!

Founded by yours truly in 2007, this event was a way for me to take a more active role in the fight against cancer, while also supporting the game that has given me so much in my life. It is an honor to have the NHL’s support in this event, which is the largest of its kind in the Rocky Mountains.

A special thanks to all of the great goalies that have commented and visited  this website over the last eight months, as it has been an amazing experience building this from scratch as the latest website in the Guild series. As many of you know, since I am an avid goaltender out here in Colorado, The Goalie Guild is my pride and joy and I look forward to building even more exclusive and unique features!

Don’t forget to visit the Medieval Mask Design Contest II page, as we are still looking for entries through the month of May.

I will be posting some content during the Quest 3 festival and will try to grab some great video of our Thursday Night Shootout Tournament as well as some stuff on our Skate with the Stars 3 celebrity charity game! I’m going up against some pretty decent pro hockey players and hope to survive this crazy marathon charity tourney with enough energy to come away with a win!

Masks of the Week: Josh Riemer

In celebration of our Quest for the Crown 3 charity hockey festival, which takes place annually in Denver, Colorado, we bring you the latest entries in our Medieval Mask Design Contest 2! We’ve chosen to nominate Josh Riemer for his hand-drawn entry, which includes a king’s crown right on the headplate and a number of excellent items that fit our “Quest” medieval theme!

Thanks to Mike Learn Airbrush and Masked Marvel goalie helmets, Josh could be the lucky goalie that walks away with a brand new Assassin goalie mask as well as their winning design painted on that mask for FREE by Mike Learn!

Josh’s entry is a great rendition of a medieval mask with a Crown incorporated into the design, so we thank him for entering the contest and wish him good luck!

The Quest for the Crown 3 charity hockey festival begins tomorrow night with the Thursday Night Shootout Tournament, which includes 16 teams fighting for some great prizes! We will be promoting our mask contest to all 34 teams and will post any entries that come our way.
