Bandits Drill for the Guild
The Goalie Guild is proud to launch another exclusive feature that includes some of the best and most recent goaltending drills around. Since 1999, Bandits Goalie School prides itself on training, educating and mentoring some of the best goalies in North America. The relationships they have formed with their students, parents and coaches throughout their year-round school have been invaluable to developing young goalies across the globe.
The approach taken at Bandits has been to give every student the attention and guidance they need to achieve their own success on and off the ice. Many of their students are mentored throughout the year, which increases their ability to learn, mature and develop at a rapid pace. Whether it’s keeping track of a student’s success over the whole year, adjusting one’s game when issues arise or just being there for a personal concern, being a part of the Bandits family is what drives their school day in and day out.
And now YOU can learn to be the best, from the best, right here on The Goalie Guild. Thanks to our good friend Joe Messina, who is a Head Instructor at Bandits Goalie School, you can now soak in some of the drills run exclusively through Michigan’s #1 year-round goalie school.
Look for these video drills every week right here and more great content from the boys at Bandits in the near future!

:: THE LADDER DRILL ::
The Ladder Drill was designed to force goalies to use their edges, push their conditioning level, and most importantly, fundamentals, especially when progressing into the drill. The biggest focus during the eight stages of the Ladder Drill is keeping mechanics in tact and not letting fatigue ruin your overall mechanics.
Add this drill to your on-ice training habits during practice and you’ll see an increase in your overall endurance over time. Remember, with every quick push comes a quick stop. Every move you make should be EXPLOSIVE!!
