The Goalie Guild published the initial NHL Depth Charts scouting report on Sept. 5, 2010. This free monthly release updates readers on the goaltending depth for all 30 NHL teams. The NHL Depth Charts report include our unique Alteration Marks, which are a simple way to assess a goaltender’s performance and progression in the previous month. Please note that they are not strictly tied to statistical success. They act as a way for us to track the goalie’s evolution and development.

Goaltenders included in the NHL Depth Charts report are either signed by the NHL team to some type of contract (ELC or otherwise), or were drafted by their team and are still property of that organization. The list does not include goalies that are signed only by AHL or ECHL teams.

The NHL Depth Charts also include a Letter Grade for each team. These grades are a reflection of their overall development strength and does not solely reflect the strength of skill/talent level.
