The Goalie Guild proudly offers a collection of annual scholarships dedicated to educating underprivileged goalies and goalie coaches. FOR GOALIES

THE GOALIE BY GARMAN ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIP

The Goalie Guild and Goalie By Garman have joined forces in order to give one underprivileged goaltender (ages 12-21) in the United States an opportunity to participate in their online training academy. Gain access to the academy for one full year and take advantage of all the great lesson plans, videos, and features that can be found in the world’s best online academy for goaltenders! THE SHUTOUT TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP

The Goalie Guild, Paramount Hockey, and Shutout Training have joined forces in order to give three underprivileged goaltenders in the United States and Canada an opportunity to receive guidance and development from our friends at Shutout Training. Three individual training scholarships will be awarded for the following voucher amounts: $1,000 / $500 / $500. Click here to apply.

 

THE FINNGOALIE TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP

The Goalie Guild and FinnGoalie Training in Halifax, Nova Scotia have joined forces in order to provide one underprivileged goaltender with an opportunity to attend their annual “Pro Week” goalie camp at the BMO Centre. This camp is made in the image and likeness of training camps attended by owner Jack Hartigan while playing professionally in Finland. It has been a big passion of FinnGoalie Training to bring a camp of this caliber to Atlantic Canada. Click here to apply.

 

THE NWHL GIRL’S TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP

The Goalie Guild and the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) have joined forces in order to give one underprivileged female goaltender (ages 8-15) an opportunity to attend their annual Summer camp in Chelsea Piers, CT. Spend five days on the ice with NWHL goalie Chelsea Laden and the rest of the coaches while attending their camp and being a part of women’s hockey history! Click here to apply.

 

FOR COACHES

THE KORN CAMP SCHOLARSHIP

Washington Capitals goalie coach Mitch Korn is widely known as one of the most experienced and successful goalie coaches in the NHL. Not only has he guided countless NHL goaltenders to the top of their game, but he has mentored hundreds of pro and college goalie coaches across the United States. So if you’re a goalie coach over the age of 21 currently living and working in the United States, this scholarship is your chance to shadow and assist Korn at one of his annual summer goalie camps. THE NETWORK GOALTENDING SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was established for the sole purpose of providing one hockey or goalie coach a chance to attend the annual Goalie Coaching Symposium in Madison, WI. Co-founded by Mike Valley (Dallas Stars), Thomas Magnusson (Swedish Hockey Federation), Hannu Nykvist (Red Bull Salzburg), David Alexander (Tampa Bay Lightning), and Justin Goldman, NetWork Goaltending’s international collection of goalie coaches are dedicated to improving the position at the highest levels. THE GOALIEPRO MENTORING SCHOLARSHIP

After reading Chris Koentges’ inspiring and moving article on Urpo Ylonen and Finnish goaltending in The Atlantic digital magazine, Goldman decided to travel to Helsinki in order to learn about the beauty and intricacy that is Finnish goalie development. Now you can have a similar experience, one that will surely change your life as a goalie coach.
