The Rocky Mountain Mentorship Camp is a new annual holistic training program based in Breckenridge, CO. Not only will you benefit from training hard in altitude, but you’ll also strengthen your mental skills through team-building exercises, personal reflection, and other group-based exercises. The Stephen C. West arena is located 9,800 feet above sea level, making it the highest-elevated rink in the United States and a perfect place to train!
Goalies accepted into the program will also benefit from pro-caliber training by a staff comprised of special guests:
Mike Garman: Chicago Steel (USHL)
Justin Goldman: The Goalie Guild
Jack Hartigan: FinnGoalie Training
Wren Arbuthnot: Breckenridge Bolts (RMJHL)
Maria Mountain: Goalie Training Pro
Backed by over 10 years of research and study, this holistic development program will provide students with individualized and progressive skill training in all areas of the game. Goalies will also have the opportunity to spend quality time with the coaching staff in order to discuss their game plan, positional strategies, emerging techniques, and much more. Detailed video analysis will also be provided, as well as the chance to receive a professional scouting report written by camp founder Justin Goldman.
Our mission is to supply students with a plethora of educational resources that can be used regularly when camp ends, so each goalie in the program will also receive a care package that includes a binder full of drills and reflection exercises, a personalized copy of all four of Justin Goldman’s books, a memory stick with their videos from camp, and other valuable training tools and resources.
Goalies should plan on arriving in Denver on Sunday, May 27. A shuttle service will be there to take you to Mountain Thunder Lodge, which is about two hours away from the airport. Camp will start promptly on Monday morning. We will host a group dinner on Monday night and provide the goalies with down time so that they can explore the city of Breckenridge and all it has to offer. If you have any other questions regarding the schedule or logistics for the program, please contact us at any time!
